I find it interesting to read in discussion forums where people are complaining about how they are not making money with a particular business opportunity. If you are trying to run a real make money at home business, and is not happening for you, the blame can lie in only two places.
1. The business opportunity you are representing is letting you down. 2. You are not getting the job done.
Let's talk about the business opportunity you are in first. Not all opportunities are created equally and in some cases really do have an effect on the amount of money a person makes.
I think one important point today is you can use the Internet to make money in more than one opportunity. In the old days you were generally focused on one business opportunity and that was all you had time to do. You were almost branded as an outcast if you took on more than one MLM business at a time for example.
Today some of the most successful Internet marketers have numerous websites representing more than one business opportunity. This allows you to develop multiple streams of income and makes it impossible for you to rely 100% on a specific opportunity to make money.
When a person is first starting out you do need to focus and get an opportunity going. A good tip to keep in mind is representing products that you personally use. This way you know that you are representing a quality product and the odds of you making money with that will increase.
So what if you have good opportunities and you are still not making money? Whose fault is it now?
Many people working at home do not treat their opportunities as real businesses. That is they do not sit down and put together a business plan for becoming successful.
They also do not develop a true budget for advertising and marketing. Even if you do not have a lot of money to invest in promoting, you can still budget a specific amount of time that you are going to do free or nearly free advertising strategies.
These are all things real businesses do and you should be doing it with your own business as well. If you are not treating it as a business, and moving your business forward, you really have no one to blame but yourself.
The sooner you vow to change your approach the faster you will begin to make money at home. If you are not willing to make the changes necessary to increase your income then in reality you should probably not pretend to do it anymore.
